Christmas day is the most wonderful time of the year. You can really see the smile on each other's faces and the happiness brought by the spirit of the yuletide season. It's such a great feeling when you are with your loved ones-family, friends, and relatives-to celebrate the joy Christmas brought to us.
During December, people rushed to the stores to bought foods for the noche buena and gifts to gave to the people they know and even they go to the stores an hour before Christmas and bought pullover. They also bought decorations and the famous Christmas Trees and lanterns. People from different walks of life decorated their houses with such glamour and beautify their surroundings with different colors.
People are very busy shopping and preparing what-so-called "Noche Buena" in Filipinos as they celebrate Christmas Eve or the yuletide season. People are also busy exchanging their gifts to their manito's and manita's.
And how would you describe these people?
They are excited and they feel the wonderful momentous event,the Christmas Day.
But I have something in mind. Something that really touches my heart.
How about those people who don't have enough money to buy foods and gifts? How would they celebrate Christmas?
You can see people and families on the streets with nothing to eat and no shelter to stayed on.
Are these people had enough during yuletide season?
Are they enjoying Christmas?
I've seen this certain documentary news by one of the prominent newscaster and it tells about people and families who are less fortunate with nothing to have in hand this season. They just celebrate Christmas without any food or noche buena on the table. They don't even have new clothes to wear on.
But are these people-or even children-happy?
I guess they are.
Well, if your going to ask me and if I'm going to be in their shoes, I'm sure I am happy.
Why?
Because Christmas is not just about how many delicious and mouth-watering foods are served in your table, or how extravagant and expensive the gifts you receive or even bought to gave to your loved ones, or how you dress-to-impress during Christmas. But it's about sharing and giving unconditional love to the people who really matters to you the most. It's celebrating this season with your family and friends and most especially, celebrating this day to our Lord Almighty. And I'm thankful because I'm blessed and fortunate than they are.
We don't need to be rich or bought so many things that would cost so much in our pockets.We only need ourselves to be as simple as ever and always have faith to God that whether you have beautiful things and delicious foods or nothing in your hands, we should always be thankful because we are still alive and thanking Him for the wonderful and good blessings we receive from Him.
We should also be thankful that in every circumstances that comes in our way, He is still in our side, ready to help and ready to listen to our prayers. We are still standing with our feet on the ground and growing stronger as the days pass us by.
Who says Christmas is for rich only?
Nyah..........
I don't believe in that.
So whatever this year brought to us, always remember that happiness comes from the good and simple things our hearts desires and always bear in mind that nothing and no one is not important and not lucky because we don't have this and that. We should be thankful in every little thing that God gave to us that makes us happy and stay positive always and don't forget to pray. It's the best thing you should do as a Christians celebrating Christmas season.
