Today is Christmas Day!

Christmas day is the most wonderful time of the year. You can really see the smile on each other's faces and the happiness brought by the spirit of the yuletide season. It's such a great feeling when you are with your loved ones-family, friends, and relatives-to celebrate the joy Christmas brought to us.

During December, people rushed to the stores to bought foods for the noche buena and gifts to gave to the people they know and even they go to the stores an hour before Christmas and bought pullover. They also bought decorations and the famous Christmas Trees and lanterns. People from different walks of life decorated their houses with such glamour and beautify their surroundings with different colors.

People are very busy shopping and preparing what-so-called "Noche Buena" in Filipinos as they celebrate Christmas Eve or the yuletide season. People are also busy exchanging their gifts to their manito's and manita's.

And how would you describe these people?

They are excited and they feel the wonderful momentous event, the Christmas Day.

But I have something in mind. Something that really touches my heart.

How about those people who don't have enough money to buy foods and gifts? How would they celebrate Christmas?

You can see people and families on the streets with nothing to eat and no shelter to stayed on.

Are these people had enough during yuletide season?

Are they enjoying Christmas?

I've seen this certain documentary news by one of the prominent newscaster and it tells about people and families who are less fortunate with nothing to have in hand this season. They just celebrate Christmas without any food or noche buena on the table. They don't even have new clothes to wear on.

But are these people-or even children-happy?

I guess they are.

Well, if your going to ask me and if I'm going to be in their shoes, I'm sure I am happy.

Why?

Because Christmas is not just about how many delicious and mouth-watering foods are served in your table, or how extravagant and expensive the gifts you receive or even bought to gave to your loved ones, or how you dress-to-impress during Christmas. But it's about sharing and giving unconditional love to the people who really matters to you the most. It's celebrating this season with your family and friends and most especially, celebrating this day to our Lord Almighty. And I'm thankful because I'm blessed and fortunate than they are.

We don't need to be rich or bought so many things that would cost so much in our pockets. We only need ourselves to be as simple as ever and always have faith to God that whether you have beautiful things and delicious foods or nothing in your hands, we should always be thankful because we are still alive and thanking Him for the wonderful and good blessings we receive from Him.

We should also be thankful that in every circumstances that comes in our way, He is still in our side, ready to help and ready to listen to our prayers. We are still standing with our feet on the ground and growing stronger as the days pass us by.

Who says Christmas is for rich only?

Nyah..........

I don't believe in that.

So whatever this year brought to us, always remember that happiness comes from the good and simple things our hearts desires and always bear in mind that nothing and no one is not important and not lucky because we don't have this and that. We should be thankful in every little thing that God gave to us that makes us happy and stay positive always and don't forget to pray. It's the best thing you should do as a Christians celebrating Christmas season.

Merry Christmas to all and may this day brings you happiness and joy as we move forward with our journey to LIFE.

Ho..ho..ho..

We Need Each Other

Do you believe that each one of us needs one another?
I do..

Many living things need each other to survive. I have lived for most of my life near trees known as Colorado aspens. If you are familiar with this tree, you may have noticed that it does not grow alone. Aspens are found in clusters, or groves. We're told that the reason for this is because aspens can multiply from the roots. They send up lots of new shoots every year. These become saplings that grow quickly and make new baby aspens of their own. In some groves, all of the trees may actually be connected by their roots. It is as if they are one tree.

Another tree, the giant California redwood, may tower 300 feet into the sky. We've seen pictures of tunnels carved into massive trunks wide enough to drive an automobile through. It seems they would require the deepest of roots to anchor them against strong winds. But instead their roots are actually shallow -- they spread out wide in search of surface water. And they reach in all directions, intertwining with roots of other redwoods. Locked together in this way, all the trees support each other in wind and storms.

Aspens and redwoods never stand alone. They need one another to survive.

People, too, are connected by a system of roots. We grow up in families that nurture and guide us. We learn early to make friends who support us in different ways. We are not meant to survive long without others. And like the giant redwoods, we do best when we hold onto one another and help each other to keep standing through life's storms. We need others to hold us up, encourage us and to stand with us.

When I'm not doing well, it is often because I am going it alone. I don't always let others in. I forget to ask for help; I keep my problems to myself. And though I may not see it, others around me might be doing the same thing.

It helps to remember how much like those trees we really are. It might be time to let someone else help hold you up for awhile. Or perhaps someone needs to hang on to you.

Yuletide season

Do you hear what I hear?

Do you see what I see?

It's Christmas Time in the city..

Ring-a-ling..

Hear them ring..

Soon it will be Christmas Day..

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks

Dressed in holiday style

In the air, there's a feeling of

Christmas..

Hmmm..I can smell it..I can feel it..I can dream of it..So soon, so exciting, full of joy..Christmas time..

These days is what we call "BER" months..September, October, November and the most special month..December. The month wherein we celebrated Christmas Day and in between of December and January, we came to celebrate..NEW YEAR..

Along with these months, rainy seasons slowly have their own spotlight..That's why we feel the coldness and excitement. Most of the people are already preparing for their presents or gifts to their loved ones..especially..ninong and ninang prepared gifts to their inaanak..hehe..also the old ones like our beloved lolo and lola who hand gifts to their apo..They give gifts to their families and loved ones and budget their expenses for..of course..hindi mawawala ang handaan.

People nowadays are busy buying ahead of time for Christmas preparations and they are rushing to the stores so that they would not panic when they bought goods because stores got so crowded when people rush there a minute before, a week or a day before Christmas.

In every houses, you can see different styles and kind of house decors in every corners and of course..our very own..Christmas Tree with lots of stuffs and decorations which enhanced its beauty and creativeness. Some people put socks near the window or in the sala or door so that Santa Clause can easily put his gifts for those children or even young at heart who came out to be good this year.

Different style with different creativity with different preparations but it only stands for one goal.

To love one another this yuletide season.

Whatever the "handaan" or how many gifts you have in hand, always remember that it can't convert it to a happiness we feel whenever we are at home..with our families and friends..and of course, when God is in our hearts.

So this day forward, share the goodness you have in your heart and share whatever you grasp in your hand. Material thing will be on the last thing on your list because what's more important is the way you touch every one's heart and express your gratitude for having them.

Be cool, be hip, be good, be happy. Share what you have and experience the yuletide season with love and joy!

What a Life!

It's a another day for me and for other people who are now thinking about their future. I guess everybody have dreams in life. A dream they want to achieve and accomplish. September 28, 2008-the day that I' have been waiting for. It is our Teachers Board Examination Day and I'm quite nervous to what will be the result-either I will pass or I will not make it..

It's a tough situation that I should handle with courage and faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ. I don't know what lies ahead in my future or what it brings me-joy or pain. Of course, if someone will not pass the board or they can't get what they need to achieve.

Everything happens for a reason and I know it. God already arranged our tomorrows and what do we have to do?Trust in His promise. Whatever circumstances that comes in our way, we have to trust and have faith in Him.He never fails. If a person can't get what he wants, God has another plan for him. If I can't get what I want, I know God has something better and wonderful plan in my life. I just have to trust Him. Although its a painful one, I just have to take it and see the brighter side of that situation.

Life is a tough road we ought to face and if it gets tougher, well, you can be tougher by the road itself. Because life is a wonderful thing God has given to us. And problems is just a test paper for Him to see how much have we learned in His lesson called "LIFE".

Well, we have our road to take. It depends on us if we follow the path God tells us to or we make our own path.

Lets just see how far can we go with our destiny. And how far can we trust..God!

God Bless to all of us..

Stay In Touch

In life you have to make the time, to spend with those you love. It only takes a minute... to call, those you're thinking of. I didn't take the time to tell my Father how I felt. I thought, when in the parlor, by the casket, where I knelt.

We loved each other very much, but did not take the time, to stop and say, "I love you," now the guilt I feel is mine. Sitting in the quiet lounge, at the funeral home, sipping at my coffee, thinking I was all alone.

I never even heard the older Gentleman walk in, until he stood beside me and said, "I'm your Father's friend." "Your Dad and I were very close, he called me Crazy Tom." "It was I, who introduced your Father to your Mom."

"I left this town some years ago, when you were just a child." "So, you would not remember me," he said and then he smiled. He said, "Your Father's sudden death, must come as quite a blow." "But, yesterday, he told me something, I think you should know."

"Your Father said, he wished that you and he had stayed in touch." "He told me he was proud of you, and loved you very much." "He was sorry you both parted, and had gone your separate ways." "But, he knew . . . that you would love him, even to his dying day."

He put his arm around me, with a very gentle touch, and said, "I know your Father and he loves you very much." He smiled at me and said, "I must be off to see another." "Oh, by the way, would you say 'Hi' next time you see your Mother?"

As he walked out, I sat and wondered, why he left so soon? Why didn't he, go see my Mother, in the parlor room? He and Dad, talked YESTERDAY, that was a dumb mistake! Because, this is the second day, of my Father's wake.

I went back to the parlor and I sat down by my Mom. I told her I was talking in the lounge with Crazy Tom. She looked at me and suddenly, her eyes were filled with tears, "He was your Father's closest friend, but he's been dead for years."

Just For This Day

Just for this morning, I am going to smile whenever I see your face, and laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning, I will let you wake up softly, all rumpled in your flannel pajamas, and hold you until you are ready to stir.

Just for this morning, I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how beautiful you are.

Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry to pick you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning, I am going to eat a huge breakfast , with bacon, eggs, toast and waffles, and you don't have to eat any.

Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that 100 piece puzzle together.

Just for this afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off and sit with you in the garden blowing bubbles.

Just for this afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up or who you might have been before your diagnosis.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to 'fix' things.

Just for this afternoon, I will let you put all kinds of barrettes in my hair and lipstick on my face, and I will tell you how pretty you have made me look.

Just for this afternoon, I will take you to McDonalds and buy us both a Happy Meal, so that you can have both toys.

Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born, and how much we love you.

Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the bathtub and not get angry when you throw water over your sister's head.

Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch swing and count all the stars.

Just for this evening, I will bring you glasses of water, and snuggle beside you for three hours, and miss my favorite show on TV.

Just for this evening, When I kneel down to pray, I will simply be grateful for all that I have and not ask for anything.

Except just one more day.
